I just blew the first hydraulic line on my 16LA loader /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. The line is for the dump circuit on the right hand dump cylinder. The tractor has 416 hours on it.

I am not concerned as this has happened before on other machines and will happen again. It is a little frustrating not being able to use the loader until tomorrow but since it is cold and windy outside I'll live.

I just wish I could have gotten a picture of the fluid shooting 5 feet in the air! Luckily I did not get bathed.

Wanna hear something really funny? I blew the exact same line on mine with almost the exact same amount of hours! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif I hope this isn't a trend.

Don't worry about a trend. I popped mine at 325 hours. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif It can probably happen at just about any time. I hit a stump in the ground while pushing a pile of brush. If it weren't so easy to get the hoses replaced, I'd probably keep a spare (a long section to use temporarily), but I don't think it's gonna happen that often. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Jtn,

Did that bucket level indicator rod and bracket have anything to do with it ?? I've often thought that the ocassional rubbing was not good for the hose.

Okay jokers there's an easy one !!

My hose blew right at the fitting on the cylinder, so it was not caused by rubbing. When I take it off for replacement I will take a close look at it and try and determine the cause.

Well, the broken hydraulic line brought the snow I have been waiting for all year. I had to drive 40 miles round trip this morning in nearly white-out conditions to get a hose made up. At least it only took me 5 minutes to put on and now I am ready for some serious snow removal.
