Here are a few pics of the job- first dug a 4 x 7 x 6 ft hole then the trench to run the water line. I also removed a stump that was in the way. This is the BEST implement I've purchased to date. I'm going to use it a TON. The final product is great but I made a video and can't seem to upload it so I'll post a follow up pic later...

Doesn't it seem like all the people that recommend not owning a backhoe because they're a waste of money and you'll never actually use them don't own backhoes? It's nice isn't it? By most of the anti backhoe crowd logic ( and I'm not saying their logic is wrong) most people's whole tractor was a waste of money. I've noticed two crowds of people here. Those that don't like backhoes and those that actually have one. Sorry, rant over.

The BH92 is definitely a workhorse. It's "banana" style boom is a definite improvement over its predecessor, the BH90. Adding a mechanical or hydraulic thumb makes it even more versatile for doing things like moving rocks or logs. I built a stacked stone wall with mine last year. I use the hoe frequently enough that I leave it on my MX5800 full time. I bought a second tractor to use with 3pt implements to avoid having to mount and dismount the hoe frequently. It's a great implement to own if you have the need for a backhoe.

Nice work on the waterer, shucksters.
l keep a punch list for mine that I add jobs to whenever I think of a new one.
When I get enough jobs to make a few days work, then the 3pt comes off and the BH goes on.
Makes for some of the most enjoyable seat time I get.

Funny thing- my neighbor came over and foamed at the mouth...he's one of those guys that talks but never buys ;-)

You're right- I've also dug up and fixed 2 outdoor water leaks and pull out 5 stumps...it's a blast!

I agree, I've noticed those posts. Its funny that it happens so often with BH's. Nobody says a mower, plow, etc is a waste of money. I've become fast enough mounting/dismounting the hoe and 3 point now that I don't even mind putting the BH on just for a quick task.
