I noticed the lack of power beyond valve for the iso platform when you "build" your tractor on the deere site. Is the power beyond a gotta have with the backhoe? If the hoe had separate hydraulics wouldn't need it? The power beyond is expensive option isn't it ($1,000) ? What else would it be used for? Might see what the hoe costs with separate hydraualics. What hoe are you considering. I had talked with a woods dealer and he said the 9000 was all he would put on a 5000 series. The 1050 was too much hoe for it. I also spoke with the Bradco dealer and he didn't see a problem with using their 611 hoe (comparable to the 1050 woods) with a 5000 series but strongly suggested a sub-frame. The 611 hoe has the best specs in the class.

Did you have a front loader in the price?

IF not that sounds high. I haven't price any yet but thought that kinda price would get a 5420 or 5520.

That price sounds high, and Ill tell you why (kinda rhymes huh/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif). I paid $35,000 for the following tractor earlier this year

5520
MFWD
Isoloted operators station
Tilt Steering Wheel
Power Reverser
Telescoping draft lnks
541 MSL loader
dual rear SCV's
18.4 X 30 rear tires
12.4 X 24 front tires

This seems quote similar to your tractor, except mine should be about $4000 more as it is a 5520, not a 5320 (my dealer told me it should be about $2000 per model within the 5000 series). I think that your dealer is trying to get rich off this one sale. Your quote includes the triple rear SCV package, while mine only has dual rear, but I think that this should only add about $500.

Here is the price list from JDLawns.com for the JD5320

2WD, Standard Station, Collar Shift, Bar Tires $19,700.00
Tilt Steering Wheel Add $151.00
Isolated Open Station Package Add $835.00
Cab Add $7,290.00
Cab With Air Suspension Seat Add $7,875.00
Limited Slip MFWD Add $4,390.00
SyncShuttleTransmission Add $605.00
SyncShuttleTransmission With Shiftable PTO Add $870.00
PowrReverser Transmission Add $2,575.00
Dual Selective Control Hydraulic Valve Add $850.00
Telescoping Draft Links Add $240.00
14.9-28 Bar Tires & Fronts (Recommended 2WD ) $120.00
16.9-24 Industrial Tires & Fronts (Recommended 2WD ) $290.00
21.5L-16.1 Turf & Fronts (Recommended 2WD) $340.00
14.9-28 Bar Tires & Fronts (Recommended 4WD ) $220.00
16.9-24 Industrial Tires & Fronts (Recommended 4WD ) $615.00
21.5L-16.1 Turf & Fronts (Recommended 4WD) $380.00

Check out deere.com, Those are list prices. RF33 is in the ball park of what I thought you would buy one for.

Is the 49 hoe replacing the 10A? What are the specs on it?

RF33, any problems with your set up?

What buckets are avail for the FEL?

thanks

BWa, imho you should get the biggest r-1 tires available, consider Woods hoe w/hyd. pump and the largest and smallest bucket they will paint it JD green for you, go with step over station because I dont like where the fuel tank is otherwise and controls on fender are not brush friendly.

Tell him to drop sales tax because you are sweet corn farmer. Arent you?

And what is a power tiller?

The only problem with my set up is that the tractor seat has been empty too much lately.

Happy and Sad to here that RF33!

RDLN, Which Woods hoe would you put with the 5000 series? I spoke with a Woods dealer and he said the 1050 was too much for a 5000 series, better go with the 9000 Woods. I then spoke to a Bradco dealer and he didn't see a problem with the 611 (their most powerful hoe and better specs than the woods 1050) on a 5000 series. What do you guys think?

I love my 7500 on my 970 except for the frame mount, I know it's the best for the tractor thats why I bought it, but the ground clearance reduction and extra overhang on the rear is rediculous.

My suggestion for the Woods BH is based on the assumption that JD's (made by Great Bend?) would be more $$$. As far as which model, well its a big purchase, if possible demo both on same machine. Make sure the 9000 boom will lift and position the 5XXX first and consider that w/3pt mount on tractor with shorter tires and 1050 BH with frame with the taller tires like rf33 has. Note: I don't believe Woods paints the 1050 in you favorite flavors.
