First Pasture Mowing of the Season With 2520

I have toyed with the idea of buying a sickle bar for the 2520 just for fun. There is a local guy that goes up and down our road cutting and bailing. I'm thinking that he might be willing to bale it and haul off the bales. Maybe get 5 or 6 bales off of it?

Beautiful place you have! I'd guess that you might get up to 4 hay cutting's a year - if you'd bale it.

If the field produced 1/2 ton per acre with each mowing; that's 4 big round bales and maybe 16 bales a season.

Up here in Alaska - those bales would be worth $150 a piece!

Looks like you've got your 2520 setup real well, too. Those wheel weights keep all 4 feet on the sidehills...??

The wheel weights are to help with traction for pulling a 72 inch RFM around the other two acres. It is so hilly, I need the weights AND 4WD all the time to be able to get around.

That's a nice rig ya got there. Glad to see I'm not the only one using a 60" rotary cutter and 72" FM on a 2520.
