First project for the BX

Well it took a few weeks of nights and weekends but the BX and I managed this retaining wall. Stacking the rocks was easy, putting in the topsoil on top was nerve wracking. The grade is worse than it looks and the 5 foot cliff didn't help either. I'm happy so far.... Just have to rake it out and seed it now. I think the little Kubota paid for itself already .

I did a similar project, moved bought close to 80 tons of 18-24" boulders.
I took me a whole day to move them from my ditch where I had them dump them. It would have gone a lot faster with a skidloader or excavator with a rock claw, but once I knew that my bx could actually lift even the biggest boulders I decided to not bother with rental equipment. It was a little hairy getting some of the boulders in place on the second tier. I also had 20 tons of landscape rock and another 12 tons of class 5 in this project
