I saved the best for last unless you think about how much they eat from a garden. We had a VERY FINE VISITOR this morning about 8:15 am before we started the final clean up with the 953 Cat. Look closely in center of picture and you can see our visitor! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif LOOKS like my garden may grow meat as well. LOL

Good pics, but so many? Seems a few would do the trick for us (at least for me, as I can't speak for others). I appreciate your excitement, and wish you the best in your endeavor. It's more ambitious than most would pursue, including me. I'd spend the same money and buy the food to give to those who appreciate it. But that's just me.
Also, thanks for taking the pics offline.
Good luck. )</font>

Sorry maybe I did get carried away with the pics. I was trying to give everyone a good look at things as I am sure I will have some specific questions about plowing my property the correct way to prvent washing. I plan on building a couple of terraces as well. With the pics people get a better look at what I am asking about.

You are welcome as far as the pics offline. I read somewhere in another one of my threads where there were some issues about it with dialup. I have dial up as well and I understood where they were coming from. I hope they didn't present too much of a problem.

As far as buying food. I can produce more food per dollar here than I can purchase. It also allows me NOT to take credit for it.

I give God all the Credit and Glory for allowing me to be the choosen one to do this.

Jim,
Do you have any idea of how much damage your first visitor and its family can do to your garden? Any solid plan on how to protect your crops from deer damage? Where I live in Michigan if it isn't fenced or protected by dogs the critters will eat it. Of course hungry folks just might love a little venison.

Exactly!! Like I said the garden might just produce some meat as well. I have a trusty 30-06 and I can definately enjoy venison as well as some of the people that need help. I do have some plans of some motion detector lights with sound that would help at night. In the daytime... the trusty 30-06 will do the job. In SC we can shot the deer if they are damaging our crop any time of year. I would never let any venison go to waste. I would much rather eat venison than anything I can think of.

Ok the dealer wants $450.00 plus 4 hours labor to fix my tractor. I just do not have the money right now because I have a jeep payment coming up the 30th of August. My money has dwindled down to bare minimum. This project is going to have to go on hold for a while. Unfortunately I have no choice. I know this dealer will NOT fix the tractor under warranty and now I am afraid he may savatage my tractor if he keeps it any longer. Or at the least start charging me some kinda stupid storage charge. But atleast I have the land this far... surely things will come together soon. I believe God will take care of this somehow. Keep us in your prayers. God willing I will not let him down or the people in need.

Should I ask him to put back together so I can pick it up? Maybe I can find the part and fix it myself.

Just wanted to post a Word of Thanks for all who have supported me in this project, and the parts I need to repair my tractor, tractor/dealer subject and so much more. All of you are Blessings to all here at this board and to your family and friends. Thanks for helping me keep from losing my mind through this. I have a long way to go and I am going to ask for your continued support and prayers. May God Bless You and Yours.

Sincerely,
Jim Bonham & Family

How much is his labor rate? Maybe work a deal where you pay the labor and he eats the parts cost. Or vise-versa. I believe he should fix the whole thing, but at least this way you do get back to work. I think I would try and trade out of that tractor for something better. It is worth nothing to you broke. It is worth nothing as far as selling or trading when it is broke as well. I would not purchase anything from him. Keep all of your documents, you still may need them if any legal issues arise. See if he will split the costs one way or another and then get rid of the tractor. Just my opinion.

I have emailed Frank and asked for the labor rates. He has not replied as of yet. I did send him an email requesting that it be put back together and I would pick up my "YARD ORNAMENT" and get it out of his way.

I have attached a picture of the damaged gear. Maybe someone can look at it and help me get one and I will repair ir myself. I am a very good mechanical minded person. I have done mechanic work all my life.

He wants $450.00 for part and $65.00 per hour times 5 hours which use to be estimated as 4 hours. He is a RIP-OFF Con Artist!! in my humble opinion.
