/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif You have a point... now I still need the wood heater for the people that need one I mentioned earlier. Thank the Lord for the extra firewood... looks like about four truck loads of split wood or so. Here is the pictures I promised of the tree. Thank God for digital cameras as well.
It crossed the waterway and the lower roadway. It is so wet and mushy that you can't even walk out where the limbs are without sinking more than ankle deep. There has been a lot of rain today and the ground was still soft from being plowed very well.
The rain has helped the greens take off even better than watering. God's rain is VERY MUCH BETTER than watering. The growth pattern proves this without a doubt!!
Here is a picture of the turnip greens from a distance. You can see it has grown above the yellow tape that was about 18 to 20 inches above the bed.
One last picture of tree from top right corner to bottom right corner where the tree is so you can get a ideal how large the tree is. Lots of firewood in this tree. There is about 25 feet of tree that goes into the woods, Maybe more.
Here is a picture of the Truck Patch Garden where I was standing on the trunk of the tree. Looking from right bottom corner where tree is to the left top. You can see how well the garden has faired so far with all the rain we have had. The erosion could have been much worse. The grass strips and roadways are getting much greener. The grass is about 6 to 8 inches tall in places.
A lot of water has come down through here. It could have been much worse on this area. I think you can see some of the erosion damage in this picture. Mostly top and not too deep washing.
