Mornin Jim,
Your son is in our prayers for sure ! I remember many years ago I was ice skating with my friends and had my left pinkey almost cutoff from a skate and it was very painful. May your sons injury heal soon !

Hi Scotty & everyone here at TBN,

Today while my son John (the one that got his finger mashed so bad that it was nearly severed) was relaxing with the medication he was given by the doctor... I adjusted the carburetor, did a tune up and replaced the air filter on my 76 Chevy. I also spot painted and matched the paint to take care of those gray primer spots. I also straightened the step bumper. It's amazing what a little cosmetic work and a tuneup will do for one. Now just bump the starter and she's purring like a kitten. I plan on taking it to the Chevrolet place and having the front end check out and a 4 wheel alignment. It has new tires on it and steers fine but the steering wheel isn't centered like I like them to be. The odometor shows 47,000 mile on it and the truck has the power of a new truck. From the looks of the truck bed and such... this could be the original miles. Here in SC the SC Dept. of Highway & Transportation put exempt on the mileage for this age of vehicle. I guess because they would have to be some kind of proof that it only had 47,000 miles on it.

The trucks condition speaks for itself. I may sell this truck and use the proceeds to support my Food Project. I know it is a Classic and worth a good bit.

Here is a page you can see the results of my labor on the 1976 Chevy C-10 (Custon Deluxe)

I am hosting on my own server to help save space and help keep TBN FREE!! Hopefully /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif There was a complaint so I am trying to avoid problems for all. There are 4 pictures large enough to see it good, but small enough in size to load quickly.

I have added more pictures at my website. There are just a few more of the truck showing where I painted the truck bed and the letters on the tailgate.

My Truck after I painted the bed and the letters on the tailgate.

I entered my Chevy in a Car Show in Anderson, SC this past Saturday. It did very well. Take a look at my website for pictures of truck in show. I added more pictures here http://www.jimbonham.com/1976-Chevy-C-10.html Let me know what your thoughts are on this truck.

Thanks,
Jim

Today we picked over 135 pounds of squash, about 15 lbs of zuchinni, and about 50 lbs of green squash. It will keep me busy from now own it seems. We should deliver squash again tomorrow. We made some deliveries today.

Where has everyone gone? This new format must have caused a few to get lost. Does anyone know why they decided to change software here at TBN?

We delivered to three soup kitchens today. I don't understand why many people do not realize we have hungry people in our communities. I guess some don't realize it until there has been a tragedy found.

Thanks to all that have helped here... there will be many that has food to eat and will have energy to work or go to school. Giving a man a helping hand never hurt anyone in the long run. Thank you again on behalf of all the people that have eaten from our food project. All that have helped me help others are appreciated and may God Bless you and yours.
