First Serious Project - Clearing 1.5 Acres

Ok... first donation of materials from a local Farm and Garden Center. I have begun making areas to plant this evening with the information I got earlier on TBN.

2.) Purple Top Turnip
3.) Kind Bush Lima Beans
4.) Rattle Snake Beans
5.) Sugar Snap Beans
6.) Kale
7.) Curly Mustard
8.) 40 lb. of 10-10-10- Rainbow Fertizer

I will post pictures of me and my rake and preparing the planting later tonight. Unfortunately I have found NO ONE to plow properly yet so I am working with what I have.

Here I am getting the approximately 125 foot row laid off to plant my first planting.

This ground is a little hard to work with because I haven't had the tractor or tiller to properly plow it. Somewhat lumpy but with determination and a few blisters... I got the first row planted.

I am making a hill out of what loose dirt there is to hopefully make these Georgia Collards produce.

Upper side of the hill done... Now the hard part begins... pulling dirt up hill for lower half of the hill.

Pulling up the lower half of hill and flatening it as I go for the final step before planting the seed.

Very small seed and I have to be careful not to plant too heavily.

Should be a lot of collards in this row if I did it right and God allows it to grow well.
