First Serious Project - Clearing 1.5 Acres

Here we go. The pictures as I promised.

The first plowing with a spring tooth scaffire. I know it needs to be plowed a subsoiler. Unfortunately I don't have one or a tractor large enough to do this.

Dog Gone-it... fact is my tractor is still in the shop even if it was large enough.

First pass with tractor. This is a 43 HP MF and it had a tough time plowing from left to right. It isn't 4X4 so that definately makes a difference. Gary plowed it up and down the hill.

I have a ten X's zoom on my camera and this tractor looks real small at the bottom from the top of the Truck Patch.

Slowly making progress. It definately made this tractor work to do this job.

I hope this doesn't cause it to wash.

It took approximately 2 hours. Seems to be plowed well. It definately needs plowed with a subsoiler. There the tractor goes. Sure miss my tractor. I could and would do so much more to the ground before I planted the remainder of the seed. Oh well... maybe things will get right so I can have my tractor this spring.

The last two pictures are of the Truck Patch Garden approx. 2 acres after the plowing was finished. I sure have my work cut out for me and the ones that are helping me. Lots of rocks to be hauled out. I now have several people I am going to help with food grown here, that will help me do this. I like that they are helping me. I don't mind helping people that are willing to help themselves. However, I will also be helping some elderly that aren't able to work in the garden. I don't mind helping them. They are helping me with their knowledge which is very important as well.
