You can see the three grass strips and a roadway at the bottom that have been strawed. You can also see the crops growing here. I will post some close ups of the plants that are growing.

This picture is a little blurred but you can tell from the yellow tape that it is in our Truck Patch Garden.

Okay... I will have some pictures of the waterway that is seeded and strawed tomorrow and some pictures of the access roadway on the right. I hope to finish the planting the seed and the winter wheat crop tomorrow. I also should have some pictures of the finished Truck Patch Garden. It has been a long process to get it to this point.

I haven't read any comments in a while. So I am going to ask what you all think so far. Just maybe this will be what it needed to prevent erosion and to make it produce a large quanity of quality food.

I look forward to your comments on my Truck Patch Garden Project

Jim

Jim,
Nice job on the garden. That's quite an amazing feat that you have accomplished in just one month.

Congratulations on the successful germination of the seed.

I have a similar plan to clear a similar size piece of property to create a pasture for animals. However I don't have a hillside to deal with as you did. I know it's going to be a lot of work and have been putting it off until I can dedicate more time to it.

Here's a site that I found for some specifications of Century Tractors. Century Tractor Specs

Are you familiar with the internet search engines, such as Google.com or yahoo.com? Just type in the subject that you are interested in and you get all kinds of links for information. That's how I got that link. I just entered "Century Tractors".

Oh and by the way, Why do you call it a Truck Patch Garden?

Good luck with your Garden and your campaign of benevolence.
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for the compliments. I have worked some long hard hours on this small project. Thanks for the link.

I am familiar with Google but with my project I haven't taken time to do a search. Most of my time has been devoted to getting this project completed. Thank you for the link.

The reason I call it a Truck Patch Garden is that the local agriculture called it that because of the small two acre size. Or atleast I think that is why they call it that. I will ask the agent when she comes back next week and see what her answer is and relay it to you as well.

Keep in touch and email me if you like bsm357@aol.com or (PM) private message me here at TBN.

Good Luck with your project. I have also planted a wildlife strip at the bottom of my Truck Patch Garden. We need to take care of the animals, domestic and wildlife. They are here for many reasons and maybe some reasons that man are not aware of. In my opinion.... God's Creation of animals had to be very important or he would not have had Noah build the Ark!!

Jim
