I prefer winter to summer, as I don't like heat. That first snow storm takes an attitude adjustment though.

I love the snow. I like how it slows everything down to what is important. Of course we don’t get much snow. Easier to embrace.

We've had several snows here on the south shore of da big lake (Superior) but nothing worth mentioning. Northern MN has had more that us but friends are grooming ski trails just west of Calgary Alberta. Below is a photo of them. Winter and snow is the best!

I'm picking green beans, cucumbers and yesterday planted cabbage and brussel sprouts!
Broccoli, beets soon.

I'm digging potatoes and carrots tomorrow, and picking brussel sprouts.

Sunday I'm planting garlic.

A couple of days ago I reluctantly emptied the hot tub for the season in between alternating sunshine and blizzard conditions. A week ago, I was out shirtless in shorts.

WHAT? We get more use out of hot tub during the winter! I suppose your conditions make this a problem?

Hydro (electricity) is just too expensive and the tub is a hundred feet from the house. If you dread getting out, it's time to shut her down. We actually like it cool for a relaxing hot summer day cool down. Plus, it gets put inside.

Gotcha... ours is situated only a couple feet from our bedroom slider on a private deck. The close proximity means regular usage for me just before bedtime.
