Well, it had to happen sooner or later (preferably later), but we had our first snow today at my place in the higher (not highest) elevations of Western, Mass...didn't stick around long, but it sure was cold today...
Had snow here in Central New York yesterday - off and on
all day, then steady heavy wet snow around 8 pm - stuck
to the grass; was still there this morning.
Here in northern Vermont, too! We had 3" of wet snow this morning at the 1600' elevation, though the valley was just wet. Just in time for bow hunting season!
I live in the southwest corner of New Hampshire. Went out this morning to leave for work and noticed a lot of white stuff all over everything. First though it was a hard frost but after a closer look decided it was snow not frost.
Now we can begin our long warm indian summer, I hope.
Snowed here as well. I live in Northern New Hampshire. 1800 elevation. 2-2 1/2 inches. Spitting snow now. 29.7 degrees but it is supposed to get into the mid 40's this afternoon.

No snow here but it was cold enough too. We had our first frost this weekend and temp. was down in the high 20's for a low. Can't believe it's winter already.
hello, i am here in southern NH. it is above freezing at 36 but the white stuff is flying around the house, though not sticking. we are at 475' above sea level which is high for here, the highest being 595' at a beautiful farm one town over.
And to think I was upset this morning because we had our first frost here in Va at 26 degrees. After reading all of these messages I don't feel so bad now. It's supposed to get up to 70 today...I guess I should count my blessings.
No snow here yet but our first frost today. Cant wait to get a foot or so to go out and play/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
