Buggers are noisy though.

What else do you have to do for them? Feed? Water? Shelter? Protection from predator birds?

Only the females drive you nuts so we got rid of them. They sleep in a tree. We feed them and the chooks a bit of grain in the winter but they are self sufficient and healthy birds. No predators here really. Eagles dont seem to worry them.

Our dogs have been coming in with them all winter. Not big fat blood filled ones, but little tiny ones. Winter has just been to mild.

First tick this morning on our puppy. I'm also told that a hot dry Summer kills more ticks that a colder Winter...and someone mentioned ticks in the Missouri Ozarks; I'll never forget the first Summer when we moved to SW Missouri from Western Oklahoma...where we had few chiggers and no ticks. We went wild blackberry picking and were eaten alive by the chiggers and ticks.
