A lot of times the implement will not be adequate ballast. My tractor calls for something like 750 lbs of ballast and loaded tires. Most implements for my JD2025r wouldn’t weigh enough.

That's interesting. I've never seen a spec for required ballast and tire loading. I've seen 'max allowable' weights, but that's different.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to know how much weight is required as ballast when different things are added to the front - like a loader. We all know we need to offset the extra weight somehow, but I've not seen numbers in print. That's a new one on me.

JD puts in the owners manual. I had a Kubota BX before my JD, I know they talked about ballast but I don’t remember actual numbers listed.
