My wife enjoys me enjoying my Kubota L3130. She was 100% behind it and would run it in a heartbeat if she needed to. She really likes that I have a tractor that can help me complete the work I need to do to maintain our property without taking weeks and getting me sick. We used Gravely riders for years and they did the job, but it was much more work. So far, the Kubota has been much cheaper to operate and maintain.
It is fun to have a change of pace and have the proper tool for a job. If we had found one with a backhoe and cab that we could afford, it would have been even better. We have been saving and watching CL for backhoes, there is one now that looks interesting that we may get.. we have some projects that need some ditches dug. 20 years ago, we did a bunch of ditches by hand and we are trying to avoid that this time... we have enough projects that could use a backhoe, we will be getting one.
Really happy for you, stay safe and enjoy the new tool. I would suggest hearing protection to save your hearing as you get older (I think I saw some muffs on your pictures laying on the floorboard, but did not see any in the pictures with your wife)...
No problem....Just felt like calling you out on it. She's only 15 months so unless she's in bright pink, its understandable.
I fully agree with you, hawkeye08. I forgot to take photos while doing work, so I ran outside right when she was going to head inside so she jumped back on and just played around in a pile of loam with it in a low ideal. Normally we are always wearing hearing protection. I'm jealous of the L3130. This weekend I'm going to attempt to build a pass to finally get to my backyard (taken it back from the woods),and....hopefully get in nine holes.
Congrats! I've got the same setup and love it. My favorite attachment is a wallenstein wood chipper. Its amazing how much use you can find for these machines. Did you buy in MA or did you go over the border?
