First Tractor

Hello everyone. I've been lurking here for several years admiring all the great equipment everyone owns. Last week I was able to finally purchase my first tractor. I figured it was time to buy when I became such a good customer at the rental shop, they started sending me Christmas cards.

I was almost ready to purchase a John Deere 2320 when I came across the thread here by toolnut about his TYM. The dealer he purchased from is only 15 miles from me. After a test drive and some more reading, I knew that was the one I wanted. I ordered it with the FEL and backhoe. (the BH will be installed next week). I only have about 7 hours on it now but WOW. This thing is a little powerhouse.

I have a hard time sleeping because I'm constantly thinking up new projects for it. I look forward to talking with everyone in the future.

I have the same tractor, only difference is mine is green.

Little over 30 hours on it now with no problems. I love it.

Good machines... new in this country under their own brand name. Kubota and now CAT diesel engines in one model.

My Mahindra 4110 is made by TYM.

Thanks for the replies all. So far it's been a great machine. The difficult thing is talking the wife into letting me buy attachments when you just spent that much money on a tractor. They just don't understand.

Very very nice Roady. Makes me very jealous. I would appreciate it if you could take a picture of it next to a half ton pickup so I could get a bearing of the size of it. Enjoy the new toy.

When my B7200 gives it up, I am leaning toward the 273 as it's replacement for our little tractor.

My wife will appreciate the powerstear and hydrostatic transmission.

I have about 13 hours on it now, the only issue has been a rattle caused by the exhaust pipe vibrating against the radiator support. A couple taps with a rubber mallet fixed that. I have rented a lot of heavy equipment over the years, everything from the big JCB backhoes to the entire New Holland Boomer line of tractors, and I'll tell you, pound for pound, this tractor is amazing.

I'll post more pictures next week with the backhoe installed. I've never used a backhoe on this small of a tractor so I'm curious to see how much work it can do.

Miralcos, I'll post a pic of it next to my F150 also.

Are you sure you do not work for TYM?

Again, I am impressed with the size and the specs. A tiny tractor fills the gaps between a wheel barrel and a utility tractor or large compact.
