I had the same issue, most of the dealers for these are smaller locally owned outfits with corp being in Georgia I think. I just got on the phone made a couple strategic comments to them and I had it 3 days after purchase. Only way I was picking up mine would have been to road it, no trailers big enough to handle it. Just keep at them since these dealers tend to be more responsive.Purchased this on Tuesday and bought a grapple too. Dealer was about 3.5 hours away. I love this thing. But I’m also comparing it to a 32 y/o Kioti LK3054. Like comparing a F450 to a pinto.
It was supposed to have delivered today, but the dealer messaged and said it won’t be until next week and couldn’t give me a solid day or time when because he had to talk to the driver. I paid $800 for delivery. I took the day off of work to be here when it was supposed to be. But next week I’m going to be slammed at work and I won’t be able to accept delivery until after I’m home from work. I’m a little disappointed. I only paid the delivery because it was supposed to be delivered today. Wasn’t informed until around noon. Had I known it wasn’t, I would’ve just went and got it today with the gooseneck and saved a few dollars.
Is this a normal thing, being delayed? Possible stall tactic because something was found during the PDI check? This is my first new tractor purchase, so everything is new to me.
Thanks!
A side note though, have them go over the FEL removal with you. It's really a nice design and fast BUT the metals on the 2 release levers tend to get sticky and when that happens it gets frustrating to get the thing off. What I do now is release them when not in use so they don't stick, no issues since then. Next is talk to the dealer shop, you'll have 2 years where they will replace the def mechanism on this, ask who in the area has the factory delete for it and plan on getting it done eventually. It won't harm the tractor or warranty. Assuming it has def that is, not overly familiar with that size. Otherwise, learn how to clean it and drain the system when it's not in use much. Enjoy, they really are great tractors.
