Buying Advice First Tractor

So far these are my options....any thoughts ?

New Gravely ZT HD 52" - $5,874 plus tax (Havent been to dealer yet, about 25min from home)
Used 2013 Kubota ZG127S 54" 30hrs - $5500 (cash price no tax)
New John Deere Z445 54" - $5,500 plus tax
Used 2008 John Deere Z830a 60" 550hrs - 5,000 (cash no tax)
New Ferris IS500Z 52" - $? (havent been out to dealer yet..about 25min away)
New Toro MX5060 50" - $4,900

If you're bent on spending $5000 on a mower for 1 acre of property, more power to you, but a $1500-$2000 lawn tractor properly maintained will last a LONG, LONG time, and save you some serious coin. I cut 3 1/3 acres of grass with a YTH2454 Husky and it's holding up pretty well, and it's on its 6th season...Just want to point out that option since it hasn't been mentioned yet.

Certainly there is truth in what you wrote. But, my 28 year old Wheel Horse garden tractor is still running strong. Two years ago, I did take three old mower decks and make one "new" one.
