I have always read here that once you get a FEL, you will find uses for it that you never dreamed of. Well, tonight we have major wind storm coming in and I needed to get my inflatable Achilles boat out of the water and put behind the house out of the wind. Otherwise it gets swamped with 3 to 4 foot wave crashing over the dock. It only weighs about 110 pounds, but is 150 yards away from the house. I used to drag, pull, flip, carry, or use a yard cart, but now - hook two lines to the bucket hooks and 2 minutes later with no lifting, it is safe and sound!

I'm really starting to like this thing!

Uh huh. I could have told you that. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I once used mine for mixing and dumping concrete. Beats the heck out of a wheelbarrow.

Very nice for collecting sticks and roots. Have the tractor follow you around in granny gear.

Grab a big gulp from a pond to water fruit trees. (no running water on my land)

Push myself backward out of jelly holes.

Fill in and pack jelly holes and deep ruts.

Back drag and back blade fresh dirt. Makes the ground very smooth, and partially packed.

Skim fresh dirt over established turf to fill shallow depressions.

Cherry picker...be careful up there!

Shear off up to 2" softwood trees. (need a very sharp edge on the scoop. DANGER!)

Hoist and carry pretty big trees after felling. I once accidentally chained up a tree exactly on the balance point, and the entire tree was hoisted off the ground. I wish I would have got a picture of that. It looked like an ant carrying a sack of potato chips.

Manage a small fire pile, but don't get the scoop too warm.

Carry a 15 gal sprayer.

Add a few gallons of RoundUp solution and a couple of old towels hanging off the edge. Back up, wetting the tops of weeds and tall grass. Turf grass survives.

Let the tractor follow you with a scoop of fertilizer, and throw it as you walk. Very slow, but beats carrying fertilizer.

Platform for my 3.5 HP pump.

Many more I can't think of just now.

BTW, I recommend none of the above.
