Totally awesome!! Everybody that posted about the M-F MMM was right- the cut is GREAT! Discovered some other neat stuff --please pardon me, this is my first-ever "rider" mower...

It mows backward just as well as forward- no need to lift every time!:D

Cutting a 60" swath once is one h--- of a lot faster than going over twice (once forward, once backward) with a 24" push mower! Did whole lawn, except for a couple of trim areas, in ONE hour as opposed to 3-4 hrs!!:D:D

With mower deck down & running, that little 2310 had NO trouble climbing up my slopes, some of which approach 30 degrees!! I really didn't think it would.

Had a quick mini-course in what "pucker factor" means-- I'm sure I wasn't pushing it to its limits, but on some of the side slopes (I was careful!), hitting a bump... well, you know what I mean:eek:... You'll notice the ROPS is up and seat belt is on OOPS! guess it wasn't for the photo-op... used 4WD too, to prevent spinning. PS-- that slope is a LOT steepr than it looks in the pic!

Anyway, thanks to all who suggested I go ahead and spend some of my money (you guys are great at that!), and to Mr. Kondor (woody65) for selling it to me!

Regarding my expression in the photos: as a Vermonter once said after a "humorist show" by Mark Twain, "Twas all I could do to keep from grinnin'!" (That's for Scotty!)

Nice looking tractor!

I didn't realize you were from NH until I saw the plate. I have a CE license plate that looks just like yours on mine for road travel too! Live Free or Die!

Yep, "Live, Freeze, and Die!" Grew up around here (from age 4), was away for about ten years, came back... all in all, not a bad place to live & raise a family.

I occasionally go down the road a mile or two to help out neighbors with snow removal, so the plate made sense.

Glad you liked your mmm, they do a great cut. Easy to take off and put back on. I bought a mower stand from the classifieds on here. I totally recommend it. Great way to store upright and clean and maintain. I will post a pic of it soon. I will also post a pic of my humbolt bagger when I put it back on, have the bh on now. rayban1......

Already have a set of axles for upright storage; used them to hold MMM up while I checked out the underside & removed & sharpened blades. I may end up storing flat, however, as it just fits beneath my boat trailer- slick!

Still can't believe how much time this thing will save me-- even more than the front-mount blower did for that task! Still grinning like crazy, at least on the inside! :D (Shouldda got a tractor years ago!!)

Not to preach, but PLEASE DO WEAR YOUR SEAT BELT ALL THE TIME!!!

Just one silly move and the tractor can go over and pin you underneath.

I was a person who only used the seat belt sometimes when I accidentally backed over the edge of my driveway culvert pipe. There was enough snow that it allowed me to mis-judge the edge of the culvert. One wheel stayed up and the other dropped down 18". In one massive heartbeat I was sure that tractor was going to flip on its side ... but luckily - amazingly - it did not flip ... and I was NOT belted in.

My wife had to get the 4WD truck and very carefully pull the tractor (using the drawbar) backward up to the road. Whew. No damage.

Now I religiously put on my seat belt no matter what I'm doing. Its so easy to do once you get used to it.

Yeah, ductape-- I think, after 35 years, I'm going to have to go one inch larger in the waist; the ol' 32s are getting a bit tight. I can still get into my old Army fatigues, but it's a struggle. :(

Seriously, though, I've considered that- pushing & pulling that mower --or the walk-behind blower in the winter-- did give me some serious exercise. On the other hand, at 60+ I'm beginning to feel a bit beat up after such endeavors. Could it be that I'm getting.....OLD? Naah! Just lazy!!

Thomas-- no, that wasn't me... I haven't had an R/C out for a long time; mostly free flight. Haven't been in a "full scale" airplane for a while, either! (Anybody out there willing to take me up?) I have used that sloped field for flying in the past- lottsa downhill room before you have to pull up.:D Did find the ONE rock in the whole field one day, however.... musta had one of those airplane magnets buried in it somewhere!

KennK-- for blowing snow or other "simple" tasks, I'll admit I don't use the belt or the ROPS... but that's all on level terrain. It was an oversight (wanted somebody to take a pic) that I didn't have the belt on at that moment. With all the sloped areas I have, you bet I was wearing the belt and had the ROPS up!

gordyy-- I feel your pain! You guys are still getting snow out there, aren't you? Crazy weather- it was warmer back a month ago than it's been in June so far for us!
