Got a chance to use my new toy...tool, this morning after we got about 10" of snow last night /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.
Being a newb Im not too good on the FEL yet...but Im learnin.
I do have one question that I seem to have overlooked in the manual. Im assuming one should keep the locking pin on the BH when not in use?

Looks like you had some fun. Yes keep the locking pins in when not in use. You will get the hang of the loader. Practice makes perfect. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. We got about 14" now I will go out in a few hours to clean up my area.

DJWILL:

Congratulations! Nice machine!

I have a BX22 and I've come close to flipping it over. The ROPS caught a tree and the seat belt kept me on the machine.

The ROPS and seat belt are there for reason, please use them!

ITS a good idea,if you aint gonna use it.As they get some time on them ,they tend to leak down,so one day youll come out,and find it down,if the pins are in it wont. Also a kid could come around play with the levers or something.
Nice tractor.Get some lights on that roll bar.Plowing at night is a blast, and i push back by the road at night, for safety,i can see the lights comin, and they can see me.RETIRE THAT SHOVEL /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nice machine! I got a chance to see the new BX24 in person on Saturday and I'm very impressed with what Kubota's done. I noticed a few areas that the Kubota engineers had the forsight to design in reinforcing to the areas that tend to take on a lot of stress. I'm very impressed with Kubota's ability to come up with a brand new feature, and already seem to know how to deal with the potential weak points, rather than letting the consumers be the beta testers, like so many other companies do today.

It was a good day, as I also got to see the B3030 with FEL and backhoe, and the L3130 and L3430 that I'm considering. Being able to see all of them side by side helped me make my decision - it'll be the B3030. Now if only Kubota would change the BH75 to a curved boom before I am ready to buy, I'll be a happy camper. There have been many times when using the BX22 that I realized how nice a curved boom would be. With my luck, Kubota will make the change on all of their hoes a few months after I get mine. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Wow - Pretty picture

Recommend using the boom pin at least. Prevents leak-down and avoids impulses in the hydraulic lines as you bounce around. Swing pin doesn't do much.

It's alarming how easily these little tractors roll over (esp. doing FEL work) so... Put your ROPS up!!! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

It kinda irks me that Simplicity doesn't provide a rops as standard equipment like the other tractor manufacturers do?

Thanks guys for all the advice and concern about using the ROPS. As I stated earlier, It was my first time out of the garage and using the tractor, and in the excitement I forgot to put up the ROPS. I dont think I was out for more then five minutes or so before it was up. I will always be using it, just as I do the seatbelt in my car or truck....

Just reading the safety forum on here will make you use it all the time, to many accidents happening...

ok,us tractor cops will let you off with a warning this time! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gifNo really you should get in a routine of stopping as soon as your out the door, and as soon as you come back to it,to move your rops.Aroutine is good so you dont forget to put it DOWN! Alotof fellers here have had mis haps trying to stuff a 9 ft rops in a 7 ft opening /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gifIt dont fit too good

Since the Simplicity Legacy does not come standard with a front end loader, and many people buy them to just mow their lawn, I do see why Simplicity markets the Rops as a non standard item. Why have something on it that many people do not need?

It should come standard on a unit sold with a front end loader though.
