That’s awesome, love how you wanted them to say thank you. Respect, kids theses days don’t have that.

THAT'S exactly what I told them why we were going to their house, to show them respect for giving us the privilege to be on their land when I asked if they knew of any local fishing holes.

Told my other boy years ago I was taking down a tree stand (on my property) because the owner never had the decency to ask me to use my property. Put a note on the tree to call me, no one ever did call me, still don't know whose it is.

That said, both of my boys being 14, sometimes I really don't know if they're getting the message about respecting your elders.
