Flail Mower Flail mower problem

I started cutting some long grass today 3 to 5 feet. I thought everything was ok but I the belt just kept smoking. I liftrd mowerer and had alot of grass just wrapped around the drum where the blades attach. has this happened too anyone else? what have you done too fix problem? also the blades look pretty beat up does anyone know where to get resonably priced replacements for a 718L?

Does the belt look worn down? It might need to be replaced. They are fairly cheap and easy to change. As for knives (and the belt, actually), you might check here:
