You could replace the PTO connector on the PTO shaft to one that fits your tractor. Most AG shops can help or sell the part.
Run it on your tractor and see how much vibration it has. If it is out of balance to much, it might self destroy.
If the cutting bar RPMs are to low, you can replace the pulley on the cutter bar to a smaller one. The ones we have at work (not the same) seem to go from the first pulley to one of half the diameter. They have 540 RPM PTO connectors.
You can adjust the tractor engine RPMs, within reason, to get the best result.
