Buying Advice Flail mower

Looking at older Mott 6’ flail. Asking 500
Not sure but it may need new blades thoughts? Older unit some surface rust. Not using new tractor came with bush hog… thanks

ideally, seeing it run would be good. if it's not cutting even and clean- then new flails or sharpenning may be needed. Being able to buy new flails to fit may be an issue. Looking at the pic, it appears that mower hasn't run in some time. The flails look fairly worn. $500 could buy you your next project...

One thing to consider is that is a fine cut flail for mowing laws.

Flail Master has parts for it.

I had one of those. Sure not for brush but does a great field cut. Plan on a whole day to sharpen all those knives !
Mott made some very good mowers.
