Jay!!! Don is pulling yer leg!

"...all places in the Universe named Springfield are merely links in higher-dimensional space to one place"

Chuckling as I am thinking about how the residents of Springfield, Maine (3-1/2 hours North of Portland)would react to that.

Don...I'm flying to Melbourne in a week for training...is that far enough away or should I take a respirator in my carry on?

Am I that gullible? I guess so. lol Don sure is convincing though! Guess the joke's on me. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Maybe I should start spending more time on here to figure out you people's sense of humor! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif lol One thing I noticed right away is that the atmosphere here and the Ford truck site I frequent a lot is WAY different! (But that is a good thing! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif ) Then again, the Ford site has over 80,000 members, too. lol

Sorry, we have all the help we need, right now. But, you'll never be able to see another sign like this without thinking of me:

That's because they can't keep the dang things runnin'! Are you talking about the FTE site? I'm registered over there but haven't had time to get into it because I've been working on the Ford... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif In fact I need to go out and get the bed back on right now. Just replaced the transfer case speedo drive gear, speed sensor and cable, the rear brake lines, and cleaned & painted the frame behind the cab. It's an '87 F150 Lariat, BTW. I picked it up last Nov for $4000 with 70,000 on the ODO and a pretty new Diamond plow. The guys at NAPA said Ford's good if you want to learn a LOT about how they are built. This is my first Ford, and I'm getting a ribbing, but not as much as with the Dodge.

Don: I'm afraid your organization faces a significant challenge for I believe there is a counter-organization to yours that is of equal strength. For each of your "End Road Work" signs I've seen, I've also seen one that says "Begin Road Work"! /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

We card carrying members of the Flat-Earth Society know that globes were invented by a small group of terribly confused cultists who buy in to the Round-Earth theory. Every fold-out road map, every atlas, every map I see on my computer screen, very clearly shows a FLAT EARTH. These Round-Earth people even believe that people can live on the bottom of this round earth and not fall off. If this is in fact true, then we should be able to stand on the ceiling without falling off. This isn't rocket science, folks. I have all the proof I need to convince me that the earth is indeed FLAT.

I'm not talkin about FTE, I'm talkin about FTW (Ford Truck World). There are a lot of really nice people over there. And their trucks are runnin. So, how many times have you had to replace the tranny in your Dodge? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif j/k If Fords were so junky, why are they the best selling trucks for the last 2 1/2 decades? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Did you ever do a CarFax before you bought that truck? Do you know what NAPA stands for? Never Any Parts Available. Tells you how much they know. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif They always say when life hands you lemons, make lemonade. But I don't like lemonade. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Yeah, it's depressing, but so far, it's a draw. Unfortunately, we have to react to the road construction because we don't get any advance warning, and those guys get to put up their signs, first. Therefore, ours usually get stuck at the back. That's to our advantage, however, because people have usually suffered pretty bad when they finally see our sign...and, getting the last word is usually an advantage. One of these days, however, we may start switching them around...
