You can turn the lift pins in on many models.. the KK for instance. i did that on my yanmar.

Light front end? Dunno.. how much that tractor weigh? My 8n only weighs 2500-2800# and never had a light front end even with 500# of wet heaped dirt in the scoop. My yanmar that is more like 1700-1800# needed a couple hundred pounds of front weight..

I was under the impression those jinma were heavier than some domestics due to metalurgy.

Also.. no reason why you can't use front weights... pretty much most working tractors i see use weights..

Sounds like a good brake cleaner spray and some rtv may aleviate that leak..

If your Yanmar can handle a 30" scoop, then my tractor should as well. The spec sheet says that the 254 weight is about 2750 pounds. It does have some weights on the front as well. Thanks for the information. This will help me when I go purchase a dirt scoop.

You can also add at least another 100 pounds by ballasting the front tires. But if it really concerns you, those rear scoops come in 24" size too

If he's at 2750# already.. and has some front weights.. he should be good to go with the 30" scoop. that's right where my old 8n is.. and it handles it with -0- problems.

I will most likely look at the 30" scoop then. I want to be able to move as much dirt, etc. as I can at one time. Thanks for the replys.
