Floating "blob" on barn cam video. What is it?

This definitely needs to be posted on the current "UFO... what do you think" thread that's running rampantly. It would qualify.

Funny. I hadn't seen the thread until you mentioned it. I honestly think mine was a case of "weird weather" and fluid dynamics. Guess I should pay more attention to non-tractor threads.

I often get what looks like a swarm of moths with my game camera, no idea what causes it but it seems to happen on the first time it's tripped at night.

I think it's something hanging in front of the camera. If you look closely, it seems to be attached to something from the top of the blob. Possibly a spider web?

But, that still doesn't explain why it moves upward. And it moves fairly quickly (11 seconds)

I use the tractor threads for lessons in tractor use or modifications. I use all others for entertainment.

Very odd video! If it's water... Why is it moving upward and fluctuating in shape so much?!

It would certainly be easy to simulate the water hypothesis by putting a water droplet on the lens. (0:

wind would make it do that. You get some pretty funny eddies during a good breeze around obstructions.

Had sunshine for the first time in a week, so got out a ladder and cleaned off the camera lens. There were no spider webs or other foreign objects that I could see. The sunshade was extended more than I remembered. I pushed the sunshade back a little and re-positioned the camera slightly.

I'll keep watching to see if there is ever a repeat. Thanks for all the ideas.
