Morning Folks. I have a 'lil piece of Paradise in North PA along the Susquahanna River. I keep an RV there, a 14x32 deck with roof and a garden shed. Last Septembers floods have left deposits of sand, covering what was nice lawn. Past high water events have never left sand deposits.

I've used my BX2360 to clean up as much sand as possable. But much is left smoothering the nice lawn I had. What would be the best way to go about cleaning this up to allow lush grass growth? I thought about renting a tiller and till/seed. Probably the best route, mixing up the soil. I thought about going over the site with a York rake, scratching and mixing the best I could. I like the thought of this, as I could use the rake for other uses. I really haveno use for a tiller, if I went that route I would rent or hire out.

What say you? How would you approach this?

Thanks for your input and Happy Easter to all.

If it is scrape-able, I'd use a box blade and pull the sand off as close to the old yard as possible, then see what you have it. You could till it in as you mentioned, but my experience with flood in material seems to be less than stellar, almost like the nutrients have been washed away. May work better for you though.
