Flooring question... Inside the house...

You said baesment ... can you post and beam the floor joist to level the floor in that room? If the subfloor is sagging not the joist then maybe overlay. Sticky tile, they didn't stay in place, I wouldn't use them.

That laminated flooring is some pretty tough stuff.

If its low spots in the sub floor and not sagging joists, you can get self leveling cement to bring up the low spots. Talk to the tile guys at your local home improvement store.

homedepot has linoeum the type that look like wood that are self seal to each other and not to the floor so you dont need to buy extra glue it work great in my bath room

So they float like Pergo and only attach to each other, NO GLUE?!

They no workey if you have big sags, the fastening edges break when you walk on them, tried that in one of my rentals and ended up having to use 10 gallons of leveler to get everything to stay put.

Cant post and beam. it is not joists it is sloppy workmanship.

The basement though is somewhat of an engineering marvel. 1340 square feet with no posts. The steel I beams holding up the house are HUGE and there are two extra beams perpendicular to the main beam, there is no sag unless the steel is sagging...

This guy was a welder/iron worker (you will not believe the scrap metal that I keep finding all over the property).

Okay ...if the joist are good and level and the subfloor is sagging may need to overlay with plywwod first. What centers are the current joist?

Good idea ... if the current subfloor can support the added weight.

16" center the joists are (measured) 1.5" x 9" (I've never heard of 2x9's?).

Honestly I think the level issues are sloppy workmanship, not sag.

Also the cieling is already only 7'4" and I can't stant the idea they will get lower...

You might try Lumber Liquidators They have a nice array of flooring options. There is a vinyl flooring laminate that is interlocking just like the "wood" type.
