The gun most likely wasn't holstered. Makes me wonder what else was in the jacket pocket too.

Like Roy, I use Mika holsters for pocket carry. In fact, I just ordered another from Robert for my G26 pocket brick. My wife uses a square-cut Mika for purse carry... in a separate compartment from the main of course. No way any of them are going to just "go off" by themselves.

I've been around guns all of my life; I got my first rifle in 1951...and I know of only one case where the gun "went off" by itself. It was an old bolt action Stevens 30-30 my Dad had borrowed; he had it loaded, with the barrell pointing down to the floor board in his pickup. It just "went off" and shot a hole in the floor of the truck. I know of several more instances where folks shot themselves or someone else, but the triggers were being pulled, whether accidentally or intentionally.

I like my Sticky Holster. Good for pocket, IWB or any storage. At half-cock w/safety on.

For bicycle use, I'll sometimes carry a North American Arms .22 Magnum revolver in an inside waist band holster. Small, safe, marginal stopping power but better than throwing rocks. For regular carry where small size is needed, it's a Sig Sauer P938 9mm. Might work for bicycle use, especially mountain bike where bears and moutain lions would have the 9mm still marginal, but better than the .22

If you guys wear a bra holster while you're riding a bicycle the risk of self injury is compounded if you should happen to try to adjust the holster for better comfort. Bras and bikes would evidently not mix well for safety.
