Florida Panther recorded with cell phone.

I believe it was cell phone video. It was a bright day. Cell phone cameras have image stabilization, and it said the video we were linked to was edited. No reason to doubt it was from a cell phone at all.

I think he was sitting with his knees up and the phone was resting on same.
I think he was focused on the touchscreen (smartphone) with the brim of his hat obscuring his eyes. That's why the cat didn't spook and I'm sure it helps when trying to keep ones nerve up with a panther so close you could smell it's breath. It's a lot less intimidating looking at a touchscreen then a panther.
