Oil & Fuel Fluid Change now no Hydraulics

/ Fluid Change now no Hydraulics #11
Thank you everyone for your thoughts.. going to run at this again in a few minutes before the next cold front.

After I bought the 3910 I changed all the fluids. On initial crank, following the hydraulic-diff sump drain, I started the tractor with the throttle at idle. For the first few seconds I heard metal on metal telling me that I had an air lock at the pump inlet.

I immediately rammed the throttle half way or so up and the pump was able to pick up the fluid and start pumping, squelching the noise. Different types of pumps on these machines and different locations. Had a not been successful I would have immediately shut down and found a line to crack to let the air out so that the pump could develop suction at the input port.
