Fluid from steering column

I have a JD 1250 tractor that is leaking fluid from the steering column where the steering wheel mounts to the column. John deere says that the parts to fix it are no longer available. My question is, does anyone know of a way to fix this or do I just try to sell it as is?

You could try to replace the top seal. #CH17860(Old) or CH190260(New) as per Fredricksoutdoor.com catalog -it is 20x35x7TC and they have them on ebay.
