I want to do a complete fluids change on my 4310 and asked the dealer about cost. Materials were ~$150 and labor was ~$150. I don't know why it would take a qualified JD mechanic 2.5 hours to change fluids so I thought about doing it myself. How difficult is it to change out filters and fluids?

The second time is really easy!

The first isn't that bad, either.

Splurge and have a spare suction screen gasket handy, and check everything.

It does take time for everything to drain out, juggle the filters, do it without spilling oil/hydraulic fluid everywhere, etc.

Do it yourself and you have the priceless ability to learn more about your tractor!

Do it yourself, it wasn't hard to do.
