i am looking for the best fluids to use in my 3520. i managed to get a couple of gallons of low viscosity hygard and a coupls gals of hygard when i got the new tractor. i am wondering what others use for the front axle, transmission, and various other components. do most of you stick with the expensive JD fluids or use lower priced equivalents. i wont cut corners on something this important but dont want to overbuy either. also, particularly interested in what grease you use for the many fittings on the tractor and FEL. thanks alot guys, this forum and another have been invaluable for this tractor newbie during my first tractor purchase. will be leaning on ya'lls knowledge for upkeep as well. thanks

Personally, Iwould stick with the JD Lo-vis and regular HyGard. They are excellent oils and are specially formulated for the wet brakes and transmissions on JD tractors. Engine oil on the other hand, I think there are several good quality oils out there. Any oil that meets Jd's Specs should be fine, although I still use JD engine oil myself.
