Your comment makes me wonder how you can 'hear' a flutter sound in the front axle while the mower deck is running. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

yes it was the pin for the mower mount. thanks to all for your thoughtful input. looking forward to many hours of "work" on my 2210, which is at 38 hrs. now.
