Well......I may end up not having them filled just yet. Price isnt terrible, 102 per tire plus tax for the 7x16's. He said they would hold 76# per tire @ 1.35 per pound. That is the cheapest quote. But an hour away, and making two trips, and being without the tractor for 2-3 days.
Local shop though dont do the foam but Inquired what they reccomended to protect against thorns. They said they have thorn guard (not sure if thats the trade name or just what they call it) that they could put in there and it would be $3.50 per pint, and they would put 5 pints in each tire.
So for ~$40 and having the tires back on the tractor inside of an hour, I may give this a try. But if it dont work, I'll wait til winter when I dont need the tractor as much for bushhogging, I may get them foamed.
