WOW!!! I only paid 50 bucks to get to front tires done on a JD 2350

With foam or with fluid?

If you paid 50 bucks for foam, they made a LARGE mistake.

I paid $175 each to have the rear tires on my BX23 foam filled.

Seemed like every 20 or so hours I was getting a flat.

I've noticed the added weight really help on my hillside property with stability... also the tractor tends to stay put when using the Backhoe.

You have to shop/compare price per pound or price per gallon of foam; Otherwise, you're trying to compare the price of eggs to watermelons. Used tires will take 10-15% more foam than a new tire. Some places won't even fill a used tire while some may require you buy a tube and charge you to install the tube before filling with foam. There's too many variables to compare prices from a 100 different tractor owners.

Most tractor manuals have the added weight of any given size tire that's filled with water. The chart usually has the tire sizes for your tractor. It normally gives the gallons as well. Since the foam and water are pretty close to the same weight per gallon, use the charts to determine if they're bending you over a barrel or giving you a square deal.

Ask them to price your tire size(s) then ask how many pounds of fill that price is based on. Some simple math will tell you the price per pound and whether it's close to the pounds of water held in your tires. (All charts are based on new tires.)

I don't notice any difference with my BX when I'm working my property. It's hillside so I'm in low range 95% of the time.

Just had all 4 on the new b26 filled and it was a little more than $1,100, it added about 800lbs. Also have foam filled on the front of a M5400 and have not had an issue since just wish I could afford the rears(about $2500). You should make sure the shop that does it lets the tires cure before you pick them up or you will have issues.

I see a couple of posters here mention added hillside stability. I live on a pretty hilly place, and tend to spend most of my time going up and down slows as opposed to acceoss them due to fear! When you say foam filling tires added stability, can you qualify this and provide some detail? I've got a Kubota B7800

Foam tires add weight and the weight is close to the ground providing a lower center of gravity.

My BX is not used for mowing, so the extra weight is only a plus for me.

I had my rears filled because I had lost too many weekends of seat time due to flats...

The stability was just an added bonus.
