Foldable ROPS

I guess it's kinda like remembering to buckle seatbelt, set parking brake (and unset before driving off), engaging 4WD for hills, using low range for real work, and several other of those "tractor-only" habits we sooner-or-later learn. Now, if I could only beat this old-age "forgetfulness" thing...

What happens to me is I get in a hurry, as in lightening storm/torrential downpour get-in-the-barn-quick.... then wake up at 2am wondering how in the heck the tractor fit with the ROPS up??

Seems like Kubota finally figured out this is a problem - at least for the Grand L series. This past summer, they introduced the -2 series of Grand L tractors that lowers the ROPS enough to fit in a standard garage door. This was the only change from the -1 series. Not sure of the other models, but it might be worth checking your local dealer.

I got tired of smashing into the garage with my ROPS. SO I Cut it!!!! YUP. (ROPS POLICE, come get me)

I shortened it by 3" on the upper half and rewelded it. Fits perfectly and I have plenty of head room / roll over protection...

YEP....chop saw and welder. The only way to not forget is to not have to remember.
