Food Dehydrator, advice?

I will have to look at the American Harvester line.

I see an Excalibur D900SHD model that says it has stainless trays. I assume solid dimpled but I can’t tell for sure from the website. Anyone have comments on a solid sheet? Airflow issues?

I used the solid silicon sheets that fit perfect on the trays on top of the mesh to make the Kale chips. The wet coating on the Kale chips does get on the sheet when I first put them on the trays but it easily washes off the solid sheets. I took out the kale chips this morning and all are very crisp and I did not have to turn them. I would think with some thicker vegetables on the mesh would allow better circulation and quicker dehydration but I have not had a problem with the solid silicon sheets.

I looked on amazon at the D900SHD model stainless steal trays, they are not solid they are mesh. Very nice machine!
