Honetly for anything 5 acres or more smaller if your close to a fertilizer place, you can get the lime truck with the chain spreader or wirlybird spreader thing to spread it for you for nothing but cost of the stuff. Like said this works out to like $7-12 ton depending upon distance place or whatever. They also can mix fertilizer into that based upon what you want or your soil test, that way you never have to touch bags.

We did this for a dove field a few years ago and was way cheaper than buying the stuff ourself. Lime was like $4 a bag 50 or 80lb cant remember? We paid somewhere around 10/ton i think plus fertileizer which was still cheaper than we could of bought it for ourself.

I use to buy lime and found the cheapest place was at a cement plant, you buy it in bulk. It was gray, not a paste nor a powder. It was a lot cheaper than buying bags.
