Food plots for deer elk,grouse, and turkey HELP!!

I was given a pail of food plot mix this spring with instructions to plant small patches of it in any sunny spots along the trail. I know our soil is acid but don't know how bad. I do know that after 2 months my crop is about 2" high, even the areas that I spread the crushed limestone on....The deer still prefer my wifes brussel sprouts which are 18" high. Next year it will be lime and fertilize first....

Woodlot, what likes acid soil, blueberries, rhodys, azalyia, mountain laural, Hydrangia, Most conifers.

Woodlot, If you want acid lovers that attract deer, Mt. Laural, Arborvaite, and Azalyia are all deer candy. Some apple trees do well in acid soil, Concord & Macs. My soil is 5.4 and I can grow all of the above if I can keep the deer away.
