The Ithaca gun company of today is not owned by the same people so keep that in mind. In fact I believe it has just recently been reformed after a previous attempt to manufacture their pump shotguns a few years back. They were just too expensive. I had the opportunity to handle one of the ones made by this new company and the steel parts were done well. However the stock was very poorly finished, horrible really, and this on a $700 pump shotgun.

I second the notion to look for a new or used barrel and buttstock. The gun is super important to you so you will feel better when you see it back in proper order.

Shotgun barrels are realitively easy to bend and straighten. If a minor kink the tool in the below attached link might very well press it out. I assume by the name this is a specialize rifled slug barrel. Don't know how the dent raiser tool would work in a rifled barrel. Also this is a highly specialized tool and very expensive and purchasing would likely cost more than a new barrel. By the time you purchase a new stock and barrel it might be less expensive to buy a new gun. At least you would have a wealth of parts less the stock and barrel.

Sure looks like a standard Ithica Model 37 featherweight with a slug barrel in the pictures I looked at.

Almost any stock can be repaired by a competent and detail oriented woodworker so that it has either a near-perfect or at least highly respectable appearance.
Over the years I did many similar repairs and was surprised how durable the repairs were and how difficult to detect.
If it's a real bad break, a hidden piece of threaded rod might be needed for support.
Unless you have done this before, don't attempt the repair or even fool around with the pieces. As well, save every splinter as they all can go back.
Any pics?

The older Ithaca's did mot have interchangeable barrels. I found that out when I damaged my 1960 vintage in 1967. New one had to be factory fit. Now this was with the Original Ithaca gun company and since then it has changed hands a couple times. If yours is not the newer model that allowed the barrels to be interchanged (don't know what year that design change took place), I think your SOL and will have to find a gunsmith to try and repair the barrel. All you can do is call the new Ithaca gun company and have your serial number handy. They should be able to answer your questions. Good luck

The stock is toast I can get one fit I found a real artist with them nearby. Im more worried about the barrel. I talked to Ithaca and they said about 250 to straighten it. Il lgo with them. The local man is cuttin the stock blank now from a burl of walnut.

So your barrel is not interchangeable?

Wouldn't think a new one would be that much.

When I ordered my Ithaca Deerslayer II from the new Ithaca gun company the fit and quality of the stock was horrible when I received it. I called customer service and told them that I was disappointed with this gun. The next day the president of the company called and apologized. He said to send the gun back at his cost and he would replace it. The gun they replaced it with is one of the finest guns I have ever owned.
