Ford 1000 / Satoh-Mitsubishi or Shibaura

just bought a 1974 ford 1000, needs a new head, but... going thru ford = $$$$$. was told that the tractor was actually made by Satoh for Ford, and the engine was by Shibaura. It's a 2 cylinder diesel model # A1012T (looked very close to Satoh Bison diesel on one website). as there seems to be so many factors, is there any way to cross reference, like get a Satoh/Shibaura cylinder head that will fit? ...if so what #'s are important? (been all over this WWW, and ain't found much info), any help appreciated, THANKS

hmmm...(as I scan the past posts) seems like my first question should have been is the a grey model..is that the prob?

It is made by Shibaura. The heads are hard to come by because they crack easy & can be hard to fix. Email me & I'll see what is available.
