Ford 1215 hst
Transmission was making I clicking noise. The first time it did it it stopped after it warmed up and I drove it a few hundred feet just to get it to the back yard. I bought this at an auction and I have no info on it. I’ve had it three years and haven’t had any problems. I’ve only used it to cut grass and pull a little wagon to haul limbs and leaves. I checked the fluid level and added a quart of dexron. A site I found said that would work. It doesn’t move now. I’m not sure if I need to drain this out or what I need to do.

Sounds like it would be a good idea to change the hydraulic oil and filters, not sure if dextron is compatible with the proper oil.
I have owned a 1215 for 29 years and will say it’s an excellent small tractor.
I use Mobil Delvac tractor hydraulic oil. It meets all of Fords requirements. NAPA carries the hydraulic filter, HST filter and motor oil filter. The hydraulic filters are not cheap but they are quality filters that have served me well for 29 years.
