Not to change the subject, but, do you run chains on the Cub?

Sounds like we pretty much have the same set. I also have a 1310 witrh 770 loader and a Cub 1400 with Mower deck, Plow Blade and Cultivator.

Dave

I used to run chains on turf tires, but I have an asphalt driveway and didn't like the scratch marks it would put in the asphalt. It was a bulldozer in the gravel with the chains though. I picked up a lightly used set of tractor treads and put in windshield washer fluid for weight. The Cub gets great traction on both asphalt and gravel now. Really should switch out the windshield washer fluid though. It will freeze in extreme conditions. Heard it is corrosive also. Tractor treads are well worth the investment. No more fussing with chains, great traction in all conditions. Turf tires will tear up the grass when you spin, however, the tractor treads won't spin near as quickly under the same conditions.

CPB. Glad the info helped. I saw that the torque specs were there too. Glad I could help for a change. I'm usually the one looking for help.
