Tires Ford 1520 Rear Wheels Spacing

Hello, just recently purchased Ford 1520 2wd geared.

Need to change the spacing if possible on the rear wheels in order to obtain enough clearance to use chains on my turf tires. Manual has a diagram which i'm not following, mentions switching the wheels. Thought you could maybe flip the wheels around to change the spacing - noticed there is a label on the inside of the wheel saying to install the other side out.

I just need an inch or two to make sure the chains don't get caught on the column where the roll bar is installed.

Can any one tell me how to do this or direct me to a site that explains how to do it?

I believe the center rim has one side that bulges out, that would need to point to the tractor, in order to increase the width. Sometimes, you would have to switch sides to do that, which would result in reversed tires, if you had the R-1s. But since you have R-3s, that won't matter. Also, the band will bolt either on the inside or the outside of the center rim. Bolting it to the outside would give you more width.

Looking in the owners manual diagram can you determine how the rims are bolted on to your tractor now, without changing anything? Look at the center rim position and look at the place it meets the tire to determine which side the tire is bolted to the rim.
The picture will show what the spacing is in inchs or CMs. Report back with this info if you are still having trouble. Turf tires create fender clearance problems so you will need to check to see if you change the rims, will thetires still clear the fenders on inside and outside of fender..
