Yeah, I knew that you could get the TC30 with hydro. That's one of the reasons I like it.

Like I mentioned in my last post, I haven't been able to sit on a 790 'cause the dealer doesn't have any. Granted, I haven't been over to NH to see if they have any 30's sitting around, but from what I've seen, it does look roomier.

The under exhaust is another nice feature. If I would've considered the 790, I would've gotten the horizontal exhaust option.

I have read a few comments on TBN about the TC30 being a little "tinny" feeling, especially around the rear wheel fenders. What was your feeling? Is the front hood metal or plastic?

Well, I don't know what the retail price is now for the JD790... but a short time back... it was $10,500. for a MFWD, gear driven, 25 PTO hp, brand new, 2 year warranty, John Deere/Yanmar... good solid entry level compact tractor... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

All in all, I believe it has some pretty good value for the consumer... NH must of thought the same with the release of the TC30...

The hood and fenders are metal. I have found it to be quite solid, just like my neighbors NH1920. The only thing that I noticed was that it vibrates at low rpm unlike the Boomers. The dealer showed me where Boomers have rubber isolation mounts and the TC30 does not. He claims that the TC30 uses the same engine as the TC33D but with a different fuel delivery system.
